The traffic accident happened on November 24, around 09:00, in the village of Mshana, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Vectra car, a 29-year-old resident of Lviv, lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a VAZ 2109 car driven by a 48-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the VAZ 2109 car, an 18-year-old local resident, were injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
