The road accident happened on May 2 at 06.15 in the village of Lany, Lviv district
According to police, the driver of the BMW X3, a 62-year-old resident of Kyiv, lost control of his vehicle, drove into the oncoming lane and drove into a metal bumper. As a result of the accident, the driver and a 46-year-old crossover passenger, a resident of Kyiv, were injured and taken to a medical facility.
In fact, investigators of the territorial police department of Lviv region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
