Under the procedural leadership of the Frankivska District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, an indictment against two men was sent to the court. They were charged with the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, with a prior conspiracy by a group of persons, repeated forgery of official documents (Part 2 of Article 332, Part 1, Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that during 2022, the accused organized a scheme for illegal crossing of the state border by conscript men.
The group included three residents of Lviv Oblast, one of whom was an individual entrepreneur engaged in international transportation. To implement their plan, they looked for “clients” and “employed” the business entity. Subsequently, this information was submitted for entry into the “Path” system.
Thus, conscripts freely traveled outside Ukraine as alleged employees of an entrepreneur – truck drivers.
It is documented that according to this scheme, 12 people illegally crossed the border and did not return to the territory of Ukraine.
In relation to one accused, the materials were allocated to a separate proceeding in connection with the search.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region, based on the materials of the Ukrainian Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
