In the Lviv region, former forest farm executives have been notified of suspicions due to exceeding their authority.
Under the leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office and with the support of the State Bureau of Investigations, former directors and acting directors of SE ‘Rava-Ruske Forest Farm’ have been charged with suspicions. They, **contrary to the law**, issued documents for the illegal felling of trees allegedly for forest health purposes. This led to the illegal cutting of more than 3,000 trees in 2022-2023.
**Environmental damages**, according to the State Environmental Inspection, amount to about 14.5 million UAH. The suspects are accused of illegal logging and abuse of power. Preventive measures are being considered for them.
