By court verdict in the Lviv region, a former military serviceman, aged 53, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason and spreading pro-Russian materials. According to the investigation, the ex-serviceman, while in pre-trial detention, found a way to connect to the social network “Odnoklassniki”, banned in Ukraine, and used it to disseminate materials justifying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
The investigation established that during September-October 2023, the man was actively involved in spreading pro-Russian posts. His actions were proven in court by prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Defence Specialised Prosecutor’s Office.
