In Lviv, the former deputy director of a children’s medical center is suspected of abuse of office.
According to the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, the former official signed a series of agreements for the procurement of special children’s nutrition during the COVID-19 pandemic. These products were essential for children with congenital metabolic disorders. **The goods were subject to preferential tax treatment**, but the agreements were made with VAT.
As a result, the medical center unjustifiably transferred almost 900,000 UAH to two suppliers. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the investigative department of Lviv RUP No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner.
