Production building of bankrupt company returned to Boryslav community

The Boryslav territorial community has received into municipal ownership a non-residential production building with an area of over 320 sq. m in Boryslav. The actual enforcement of the court decision on the return of this property was ensured by the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office.

The premises, with an estimated value of about UAH 2.6 million, previously belonged to a local company. The enterprise provided services in the field of road haulage and the organisation of construction of real estate facilities, but went bankrupt in 2017.

It was established that the building had been recorded as ownerless immovable property, and more than a year has passed since that moment. During this time, no one claimed ownership of the property, and therefore such assets are subject to transfer into the municipal ownership of the territorial community, which became the basis for the prosecutor’s office to apply to the court.

The Boryslav City Court agreed with the prosecutors’ arguments and fully upheld the claim for the transfer of the building to the community. The court decision has now been enforced: title to the specified non-residential premises has been registered to the Boryslav territorial community.
