Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 35-year-old inspector of the Patrol Police Department in the Lviv Region of the Patrol Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of soliciting and receiving illegal benefits for influencing decision-making by persons authorized to perform state functions (Part 3 of Article 369 -2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the law enforcement officer demanded 3.5 thousand US dollars in illegal benefits from a local resident for solving the issue of the mobilization of her relative to the Armed Forces.
He assured that he has influence on the officials of the territorial recruitment and social support center and for a monetary reward he can solve the issue of avoiding mobilization by her brother.
Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the husband is being resolved.
Investigations are ongoing, other involved persons are being identified.
The investigation of the crime was carried out by prosecutors together with the investigative department of the territorial administration of the State Criminal Investigation Department, located in the city of Lviv.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
