Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv regional prosecutor’s office, the former head of the Ryasne-Ruska village council of the Lviv region was informed of the suspicion of abuse of office, which caused serious consequences, and official forgery (Part 2 of Article 364 and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) .
The pre-trial investigation established that during 2020, the official entered into official documents knowingly false information about the location of 5 land plots of the forest fund, which were later illegally transferred to the ownership of individuals.
As a result of the suspect’s actions, state-owned land plots with a total area of more than 0.5 ha, the value of which exceeds UAH 1.9 million, were lost from the use of the Yavorivsk DLGP “Galsillis”.
Currently, the issue of applying a preventive measure and seizing the suspect’s property is being resolved.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation body is conducting the necessary investigative actions in order to verify the legality of the alienation of a number of other land plots of the forest fund on the territory of this village council into private ownership and the involvement of other persons in committing the specified criminal offenses.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region based on the materials of the USBU employees in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
