Prosecutors from the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv ensured the enforcement of a court decision recognizing an apartment as escheated property and transferring it to the ownership of the territorial community. This was reported by lviv.gp.gov.ua.
The property in question is a 45 sq. m apartment in the Frankivsk district, valued at over 3 million UAH. It was established that the property owner died in 2023 without leaving heirs, thus the property was subject to being recognized as escheated and subsequently transferred to communal ownership.
In order to protect the interests of the territorial community, the prosecutor’s office filed a corresponding lawsuit in court. The Frankivsk District Court of Lviv agreed with the prosecutors’ arguments and fully satisfied their claims. As of today, the court decision has been executed — the apartment has been transferred to the communal ownership of the Lviv City Council.
