In the Lviv region, medical professionals were exposed for assisting individuals subject to military duty in avoiding service. This concerns the illegal activities of doctors within the military medical commission.
The investigation is being conducted under the guidance of the Lviv Specialised Prosecution in the Defence Sector of the Western Region. It has been established that specialists, including a psychiatrist, a neurologist, and a surgeon from the district territorial recruitment centre, were involved in the evasion scheme.
Doctors falsified diagnoses in citizens’ medical records, which formed the basis for decisions on their unfitness for service. These actions created illegal grounds for evading conscription.
