
Prosecutors from the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have sent an indictment to court against a 30-year-old woman from Lviv.
The woman purchased large batches of the psychotropic substance MDMA, known as ecstasy, for distribution via ‘stash sites’. In August, she acquired 247 tablets of MDMA for further packaging and distribution in the Frankivsk district of Lviv.
She was detained after receiving the psychotropics, and law enforcement officers seized part of the ‘stashes’ from various locations in Lviv. The woman is charged with illegal acquisition, possession, and distribution of psychotropic substances in especially large quantities.
She has been remanded in custody without the possibility of bail. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by Lviv Police Department No. 2 with the support of the Department of Drug Crime of the National Police in Lviv region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty according to the law.
