In support of the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 44-year-old resident of Lviv was found guilty of disseminating materials containing justification, recognition as legitimate, and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
She was sentenced to 3 years in prison with a probationary period.
Prosecutors proved in court that from March to July 2022, a pro-Russian woman distributed posts on her page in the banned social network Odnoklassniki in which she justified and recognized the legitimate armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In addition, she published posts with statements that denied the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine, as well as glorified persons participating in and facilitating the armed invasion of the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
During the trial, the convict admitted her guilt and sincerely repented.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SBU Department in the Lviv region.
