The driver of a Renault Laguna faced an issue when he received a fine for speeding that he did not commit.
The photo and video captured a car of the same make and with the same license plates, but in a different color. Inspectors from the accident investigation and material processing department relayed information about the suspected doppelgänger in the bulletin, and it was located.
The vehicle was stopped on the Kyiv — Chop highway, in the village of Lypnyky. An investigative and operational group was called to the scene. The 57-year-old driver faces accountability under Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for punishment for forging documents or using forged documents. The car was towed to a special parking lot.
