The Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office announced a verdict for a 44-year-old resident of the Lviv district, finding him guilty of dodging draft for military service during mobilization. The man was sentenced to three years of imprisonment under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In February 2024, a military medical commission declared him fit for service, after which he received a draft notice requiring him to appear for mobilization. However, the accused refused to accept the document, despite being informed of the consequences of such an action and the drafting of an act of refusal.
Subsequent actions showed that without compelling reasons, the man did not report to the territorial recruitment center for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Investigators from VnP No. 1 LRUP No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region conducted a pre-trial investigation of this case.
