Lviv Resident Sentenced to 6 Years for Series of Thefts

Lviv resident, aged 35, has been sentenced to over 6 years in prison for multiple thefts, reports the Halytska Prosecutor’s Office. Over four days in November last year, the man committed a series of thefts, including breaking into a victim’s flat via a partially opened plastic window, where he managed to steal cash and jewellery.

The total damage from this theft alone exceeded UAH 100,000. Additionally, the accused carried out several other thefts: stealing four bicycles, a scooter, and a laptop, entering premises during these crimes. The total value of the items he stole amounted to approximately UAH 150,000.

He is charged with theft committed under martial law conditions under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Until the sentence becomes legally binding, the accused will remain in custody, in accordance with the decision of the pre-trial investigation conducted by Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Directorate.
