
In Lviv, a man has been detained who organised the sale of the psychotropic substance PVP directly from his home. According to the investigation, this 49-year-old city resident illegally acquired and stored the psychotropic substance for further distribution. During April and May, the suspect sold ‘PVP’ directly to purchasers hand-to-hand on two occasions.
After the second occurrence, law enforcement detained him in accordance with article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office notified him of suspicion regarding acquisition and storage for the purpose of distribution, as well as the repeated distribution of a psychotropic substance (part 2 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is under consideration. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is identifying other possible involved individuals. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Administration No. 2.
According to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court’s guilty verdict.
