Lviv Resident Arrested for Selling Psychotropics Worth 200 Thousand Hryvnias

Recently in Lviv, a 25-year-old man was detained on suspicion of selling large batches of psychotropic substances. According to law enforcement, the young man was selling 400 units of substances retail through so-called ‘stashes’.

During the arrest on one of the city streets, special police units seized 200 ‘stashes’ containing a substance possibly containing PVP, 50 packages and 120 tablets which are preliminarily identified as MDMA. The total value of the seized items is approximately 200 thousand hryvnias, and these psychotropics have been sent for expert analysis.

The issue of charging the detainee with a crime under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is currently under discussion, which provides for a punishment of up to ten years’ imprisonment with possible confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office.
