Over 150,000 sq m of dead wood destroyed by fire in Lviv region
Over the past 24 hours, Lviv Oblast rescuers have extinguished 43 dry grass fires, destroying more than 150,000 sq m of dead wood.
More than 170 rescuers, local residents and more than 50 units of special equipment were involved in the fire extinguishing operations.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast once again reminds of the prohibition of dry grass burning.
Setting fire to dry grass is punishable by law in the form of a fine:
- for citizens from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120;
- for officials, from UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420.
