In the Lviv Region, within the past 24 hours, 8 wildfires affecting open areas have been extinguished. Firefighters managed to quell the fires, which devastated over 2,400 square metres of vegetation.
The burning of dry vegetation is the most common cause of such fires. In windy weather, even a small blaze can quickly escalate into a large-scale fire.
It is worth recalling that burning dry grass not only harms nature but also poses a threat to life, people’s health, as well as residential buildings and infrastructure. Preserve nature and do not put yourself and others at risk!
