Lviv Regional Administration warns of fake emails sent on its behalf

In recent days, businesses in the Lviv region have been receiving emails in which the senders claim to be from the Lviv Regional Military (State) Administration and ask them to urgently contact an official.

According to First Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Andriy Hodyk, these messages are fraudulent and have no connection whatsoever either to the Lviv Regional Administration or to him personally.

“In recent days, businesses have been receiving emails supposedly from the Lviv Regional State Administration asking them to urgently get in touch with me. These are fraudulent messages that have no connection whatsoever with the Lviv Regional Administration or with me personally” — Andriy Hodyk

The Administration urges recipients not to call the numbers indicated in such emails, not to click on suspicious links and not to reply to these messages so as not to fall victim to fraud.

The Lviv Regional Administration stresses that, where necessary, staff of the institution carry out official communications only in the prescribed manner and via verified official contacts.
