In the Lviv region, prosecutors from the regional prosecutor’s office successfully dismantled the operations of 23 fraudulent call centers.
The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that organized groups of individuals rented office spaces to create fictitious financial services. Under the guise of brokerage companies, they lured citizens into investing in cryptocurrency and trading on exchanges. In reality, this was aimed at embezzling funds from residents, including Europeans.
During the raids, over 1,000 computer devices, mobile phones, and servers used in the criminal activities were confiscated. Investigative actions are currently ongoing to identify the organizers of these illegal centers.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven and established by a court verdict.
