The total value of the narcotics and psychotropic substances seized from him, at the prices of the “black” market, is more than one and a half million hryvnias.
As determined by the staff of the Department for Combating Narcotic Crime in the Lviv Region in cooperation with colleagues from the city of Kyiv and together with the employees of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1, a 22-year-old resident of the Volyn Region, who temporarily lives in Lviv, sold narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances through ” masterclads”, and also forwarded them throughout the territory of Ukraine.
On September 14, law enforcement officers detained the perpetrator in Lviv. A box was found in his possession, in which four zip-top bags containing a white powdery substance, outwardly similar to the psychotropic substance “ketamine”, were hidden among the food. It was established that the attacker was supposed to send the box to the city of Kyiv.
During an urgent search conducted in a rented apartment at the place of temporary residence of the criminal, law enforcement officers discovered and seized dozens of zip bags with almost 4 thousand pills of blue and pink colors, outwardly similar to the psychotropic substance “MDMA”, bags with a black substance, outwardly similar on the psychotropic “hashish”, a white powdery substance, outwardly similar to the psychotropic substance “ketamine”, a powdery substance of plant approval, outwardly similar to “cannabis”, a pinkish powdery substance, outwardly similar to the psychotropic substance “MDMA”, as well as electronic scales , devices for use and production of narcotics and other material evidence.
The total value of the seized, at black market prices, is more than 1 million 500 thousand hryvnias.
Everything removed is directed to expert research.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of six to ten years.
The pre-trial investigation continues. The police establish the channels of arrival of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as persons involved in this.
