Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 64-year-old resident of Boryslav was served a notice of suspicion of causing intentional grievous bodily harm (Part 1 Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The suspect was chosen as a measure of restraint in the form of detention without bail.
According to the investigation, in June 2024, the man was drinking alcohol with his friend in his apartment. A dispute arose between the friends, during which the man beat the victim first with his fists and then with an ax he found in the apartment.
In this way, the suspect inflicted serious bodily injuries on the man, which were life-threatening at the time of infliction.
The victim was taken to hospital where he received emergency medical care.
The investigation is ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
