Lviv region resident suspected of cocaine dealing in Lviv

In Lviv, suspicion has been notified to a 25-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Sheptytskyi district, whom investigators believe to be involved in the large-scale distribution of cocaine. This was reported under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, in May this year the man was dealing cocaine in Lviv. One episode has been documented in which he met a buyer on the outskirts of the city in the Frankivskyi district and, for concealment, hid 5 zip-lock bags of cocaine in a cigarette packet.

For almost 4 grams of the drug (in terms of the “pure” substance), the suspect received 800 US dollars. He is charged with the unlawful purchase, transportation, possession for the purpose of sale and sale of narcotic drugs, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons on a large scale (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

At the request of the prosecution, the suspect has been remanded in custody with the right to post bail. Investigative actions are ongoing, and other individuals who may be involved in the unlawful activity are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine Office in the Lviv region. In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and established by a guilty verdict of a court.
