Resident of Slavske Built Cottage on Someone Else’s Land

In Slavske, a case of illegal construction has been discovered, where a local resident erected a cottage on a plot belonging to another person. The Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office has referred the case to court.

The investigation established that in 2022, a 38-year-old man began constructing a residential building, using not only his own plot but also the neighbouring one, which belongs to a resident of Zakarpattia. By 2026, the construction was almost completed, and building materials were placed on the foreign land.

The owner of the plot discovered the illegal construction and reported it to law enforcement. The resident of Slavske has been notified of suspicion of unauthorised construction on someone else’s land.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by Police Department No. 3 of the Stryi District Police Administration. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
