In the Lviv region, a 30-year-old woman will be tried for transporting psychotropic substances. Prosecutors from the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv have sent an indictment to court regarding her case. The woman purchased packaged polyethylene bundles of PVP in February this year.
She was travelling from Lviv to a village in the Lviv district, where she planned to place ‘stashes’. However, during the journey, she was stopped by patrol officers for violating the curfew and a superficial search of the car was conducted.
In the car’s glove compartment, 16 zip-lock bags containing PVP were found and seized. The woman is charged with the illegal acquisition, storage, and transportation with the intent to sell a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance under part 2 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region. According to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner.
