A resident of Sambirshchyna was detained on suspicion of trafficking psychotropic substances.
Under the procedural guidance of the Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office, a resident of the district was exposed. According to the investigation, the suspect attempted to profit from selling the psychotropic substance 4-MMC by making so-called ‘stashes.’
The woman ordered a wholesale batch of ‘product’ through a Telegram channel associated with the illegal circulation of banned substances. The pickup was made from a cache in Sambir according to sent geocoordinates. However, law enforcement officers detained the suspect in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. She was found with and confiscated 25 zip packages supposedly containing 4-MMC weighing 24 grams.
She was charged with illegal acquisition, storage for the purpose of sale, of especially dangerous psychotropic substances (Part 2, Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Pre-trial investigations are being conducted by investigators of the Sambir District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent in committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court conviction.
