Woman Sentenced to 7 Years for Husband’s Murder During Conflict
Under the public accusation by the prosecutors of the Sheptytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, a 45-year-old local woman was found guilty of intentional murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
She was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Circumstances of the Crime
Prosecutors proved in court that in November 2024, in one of the villages of the Sheptytskyi district, the wife stabbed her husband. During a joint alcohol consumption, a conflict arose between the couple, during which the woman delivered one stab to the husband’s chest area. This led to acute internal bleeding and the death of the victim.
Further Actions
Until the verdict comes into legal force, the accused will remain in custody. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of Police Department No. 1 of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the region.
