A 21-year-old local resident in Bucha has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist act. This was made possible through the joint efforts of police officers and SBU staff. This was reported by MVS LVIV.
The law enforcement officers acted according to the response algorithm for terrorist threats: the area was cordoned off, the scene was secured, and residents were informed about the potential danger of a repeat explosion. During the initial measures, another explosion occurred.
Despite this, the relevant services continued their work, controlling the situation and taking all necessary measures to prevent serious consequences among the population. As a result of the incident, two law enforcement officers were injured, but their lives are not in danger.
The detainee confessed that he met an unknown person through a computer game. Later, the new acquaintance began to blackmail him, claiming to know where his mother was and that he was monitoring her with a drone. To ensure her safety, the young man was instructed to plant an explosive device.
