A resident of the Lviv district has been sentenced to three years in prison for evading military service conscription.
According to the Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office, the man was found guilty of violating Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
In July 2024, the accused was deemed fit for service by medical assessment. On the same day, he was issued a summons to report to the military unit on the specified date.
However, without valid reasons, the man failed to appear at the territorial recruitment and social support center. This violation of the current legislation resulted in his evasion of military conscription.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators from Police Department No.1 of the Lviv District Police Administration. The court verdict will take legal effect after the expiration of the appeal period.
