A resident of Sambir has been sentenced to 7 years for selling psychotropics.
Prosecutors of the Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office proved in court the guilt of the 42-year-old local resident who sold the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance “PVP”. The assigned punishment – 7 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. It was proven that during December 2021 – January 2022 in Sambir, the man sold the psychotropic to local drug addicts. The selling occurred by prior telephone arrangement. The banned substance was sold for cash both in person and by concealing the “goods” in a predetermined location. The man was charged with illegal acquisition, storage with the intent to sell, and the sale of particularly dangerous psychotropic substances (part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Sambir District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region. The court’s verdict shall come into legal force after the expiration of the appeal period.
