The Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office has charged a local resident with illegal possession of ammunition and attempting to bribe a police officer.
In July of this year, law enforcement officers in Zolochiv stopped the individual for a traffic violation. Upon inspecting his vehicle, 64 rounds of 7.62 caliber ammunition were found in the trunk. The suspect explained that he found them in the forest but did not report it to the authorities.
*Patrol officers immediately called an investigative team to the scene.* However, the man attempted to give a bribe of 4,200 UAH, placing the money in the police inspector’s pocket. This was documented by law enforcement.
The investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the Zolochiv district police department. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court.
