According to lviv.gp.gov.ua, a 33-year-old resident of Zolochiv District is suspected of establishing a cannabis distribution scheme in the area. He illegally acquired the drug, stored it at his residence, and distributed it through so-called ‘stashes’.
At least three episodes of illegal activity were documented in January–February 2026. Specifically, the man twice left packages of cannabis in a tree hollow near the road connecting Zolochiv – Krasne, and also sold the drug to an addict ‘hand to hand’.
Under the procedural guidance of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office, the man was informed of suspicion in illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of narcotics, committed repeatedly (part 1, part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being decided.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court’s guilty verdict.
