Prosecutors of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office have referred an indictment to the court against a local resident.
He is accused of illegally acquiring, carrying, and possessing firearms and ammunition without the required legal permit (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused illegally acquired and kept at home a single-shot rifle ‘TOZ-8’, a hunting rifle ‘Voere’, and 22 cartridges.
As a result of the search, law enforcement officers seized the aforementioned weapons.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a legal manner and confirmed by a court sentence.
