A 34-year-old local resident was hit by a car driver between the villages of Murovane and Ostriv of the Chervonograd district

The police of the Lviv region once again urges pedestrians to strictly follow the traffic rules, to be attentive and careful, to cross the road only at crosswalks and on a green light, and to use reflective elements in the dark. Take care of life and health!

So, on November 23 at 9:15 p.m. between the villages of Murovane and Ostriv of the Chervonograd district, the driver of a Citroen car, a 38-year-old resident of Chervonograd, hit a 34-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.

Another traffic accident occurred at 11:20 p.m. on the Lviv-Lutsk highway near Novy Stav village of Lviv district. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the VAZ 2105 car, a 24-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, ran over a 25-year-old man from Lviv. As a result of the accident, the man was injured and taken to the hospital.

Based on these facts, the investigators of the territorial units of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the events.
