A soldier from Lviv, Natalia Boyko, was killed in the Pokrovsk sector.
The death was reported by her sister Olga.
“She was the closest person to me, the one with whom I could share everything. The one who dreamed of a happy future for her son in a country without war, and she is the part of my heart, my own sister. Emotions take over and it’s hard to write, but Natalia is coming home on a shield,” she wrote.
Natalia voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in July 2023 as part of the military unit A1619, Haysyn.
Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, she has been actively involved in volunteer work. In July 2023, despite her lack of combat experience, she joined the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk to defend the state against the Russian invaders.
She was repeatedly honoured by the military command for her conscientious service. She died on 18 June.
“All the time she was on duty in the Pokrovske direction and believed in the future that she fought so hard for herself and her son,” Olha Boyko wrote.
