According to the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office, a 36-year-old resident of Stryi Oblast was found guilty of evading conscription for military service during mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
It was established that in April of last year, the military medical commission examined the convict and found him fit for military service.
Accordingly, he was legally informed about the turnout for the general mobilization.
However, the man did not appear at the territorial recruitment and social support center for his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine without a good reason. Therefore, the conscript violated the requirements of the current legislation and evaded military conscription.
