An Opel driver died in a collision with a truck in Chervonohrad district – police are establishing the circumstances
The road accident occurred on 21 February at about 18.00 on the Chervonohrad-Brody motorway near the village of Novyi Vytkiv.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a car Opel Zafira driven by a 35-year-old resident of a village in the district and a DAF truck driven by a 45-year-old resident of Khmelnytsky region collided. As a result of the collision, the driver of the car sustained injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
