The traffic accident occurred on June 8, around 5:00 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Lysiatichi, Stryi district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, a collision took place between a Peugeot 301 driven by a 46-year-old man from Stryi and a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 37-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Stryi district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Peugeot 301 and two of his passengers – a 50-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man – both residents of Stryi, as well as the driver of the Volkswagen Passat and his passenger, a 34-year-old resident, were injured and taken to the hospital. Stryi district.
According to the fact, investigators of the Stryi district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
