In the Lviv region, a woman was injured as a result of a car collision – the police are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on April 19, around 08:00, on the Lviv-Krakowets highway in the village of Yamelnya, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Zafira car, a 19-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, hit a pedestrian, a 40-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
