On January 12, at 8:13 p.m., rescuers received a report that the driver of a Volkswagen B-5 car, born in 1978, lost control, drove into a ditch and overturned in the village of Medenich, Drogobytsky district.
Rescuers from the city of Drogobych and the local fire brigade of the village of Medenichi, as well as the operative group of the Drogobych district administration, were sent to the scene of the incident.
As it turned out, as a result of the traffic accident, the female passenger, born in 1993, was trapped by the deformed structures of the car. So, rescuers used hydraulic shears to unblock the victim and handed over to medics for professional assistance. A woman with injuries of varying degrees of severity was hospitalized in the Drohobytsk city hospital.
Also, in order to prevent a fire, the rescuers disconnected the battery on the car. 6 personnel and 2 units of special equipment were involved in liquidation of the consequences of the road accident.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the reasons and circumstances of the event.
