Lviv region: criminal accused of murdering partner to be tried
During a domestic conflict, the woman stabbed her husband several times, causing fatal injuries, and tried to stage the murder as a suicide. She faces up to fifteen years’ imprisonment for her crime.
According to officers of the Drohobych District Police Department, on 14 May, at around 1am, a conflict arose between a 62-year-old resident of Truskavets and his 35-year-old partner, during which the woman stabbed the man several times with a kitchen knife, causing fatal injuries.
The offender then called paramedics and subsequently tried to stage the murder as a suicide.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under the procedural supervision of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office under Part 1 Article 115 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment has been sent to court.
The accused faces imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
