
Following the brazen murder of public figure Andriy Parubiy, law enforcement officers from Lviv region, the central unit of the National Police, and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) launched a nonstop operation to solve the case.
The investigation was under the personal oversight of the President of Ukraine. Earlier today, the suspected shooter was apprehended in the Khmelnytskyi region.
According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, the murder was meticulously planned. The perpetrator had:

monitored the victim’s movements in advance;

developed an escape route;

devised a detailed execution plan.
Thanks to the high professionalism of Ukrainian law enforcement, investigators managed to identify the suspect within 24 hours of the crime and detain him 12 hours later.
Klymenko expressed gratitude to the Lviv regional police, the central office of the National Police, the SBU, the Office of the Prosecutor General, and the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office for their coordinated and effective actions.
He emphasized that a united and professional law enforcement system is the cornerstone of national safety and stability.
