A collection of ancient coins was discovered at the Ukrainian-Polish border.
At the ‘Shehyni’ border checkpoint, the 7th border guard unit of the Carpathian Detachment stopped an attempt to illegally transport a collection of ancient coins across the state border. These coins may have cultural or historical value.
The cargo was found in a Jeep driven by a 49-year-old resident of the Kyiv region. During the inspection, 14 coins of various denominations, dated 1915, 1922, and 1924-1927, were found in the vehicle.
The find was seized in accordance with established procedures. It will be sent for examination to determine their authenticity and potential value.
