In the Lviv region, a woman was injured due to a car hit – police are establishing the circumstances. This was reported by MVS.LVIV.
The traffic accident occurred on February 25, around 18:40, on the “Lviv-Shehyni” highway in the city of Mostyska, Yavoriv district. As preliminarily established by law enforcement, the driver of a Skoda Octavia, a 47-year-old resident of Yavoriv district, hit a pedestrian, a 70-year-old resident of Yavoriv district.
As a result of the accident, the elderly woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. Based on the fact, investigators from police department No.1 of the Yavoriv district police department opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The maximum penalty provided by the article’s sanction is restriction of freedom for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
