In Lviv region two servicemen illegally left the army using forged documents

In Lviv region two servicemen have been exposed who, under martial law, illegally left military service by submitting forged documents to their command about the alleged birth of a third child abroad.

According to the investigation, both soldiers used fake birth certificates to secure discharge on family grounds as parents of three or more children under the age of 18. At the same time, during the period indicated in the documents, their wives did not leave Ukraine.

It has been established that a 36-year-old reserve soldier, after returning to duty in a military unit, purchased a forged birth certificate for a child and submitted it to the command for consideration in order to be discharged from service.

A 39-year-old serviceman, who was serving as a cadet at a training centre in Lviv region, acted according to a similar scheme. To obtain the right to discharge, he also used forged documents.
