In the Lviv region, a 20-year-old student was awarded for helping the police arrest an attacker of women

The deputy head of the police of the Lviv region, police colonel Ruslan Ostroukh, thanked the 20-year-old future lawyer for the courage and determination shown during the arrest of the armed intruder, presented him with a watch and invited him to serve in the police after completing his studies.

We will remind – on March 5, around 4:00 p.m., a 39-year-old man from Lviv attacked a 20-year-old female student in the locker room of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Threatening with a dangerous razor, he grabbed the girl by the neck and injured her. The victim’s cries for help were responded to by a 20-year-old university student who happened to be passing by the restroom. He tried to detain the attacker, but he managed to break free and run out of the room.

While running away, on Hnatyuk Street, the intruder attacked another woman – a 45-year-old employee of one of the shops. As in the previous case, he grabbed the victim by the neck and threatened her with a razor.

This time, the student who pursued the fugitive managed to detain him. With the help of passers-by who reported the incident to the emergency line 102, he detained the intruder until the arrival of the law enforcement officers.
