In Lviv region, drunk driver of company minibus nearly collided with patrol car

In Lviv region, patrol officers stopped a drunk driver of a company minibus who was driving at night to pick up employees of a business. This was reported by the Patrol Police of Lviv region.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, when the driver of the company vehicle, as he was pulling out from a side road onto the main road, nearly collided with a patrol car.

When tested with a Dräger device, the driver was found to have 1.9 per mille of alcohol in his blood. A report was drawn up against him under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, he was banned from continuing his journey and warned about liability.

Overall, over the weekend, patrol officers in Lviv region issued 15 reports under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences relating to drivers who were operating vehicles while intoxicated.
