In the Lviv region, the police took into custody an intruder who broke into a house and tried to commit theft

The law enforcement officers remind once again that in the conditions of martial law, the maximum punishments are provided for committing theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, as well as for misappropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position.

As the employees of police department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 established, on November 24, around 3:00 p.m. in the village of Pyatnychany, the suspect entered a residential building and took money from a bag that was lying in a prominent place.

Meanwhile, the housewife, who was in the yard, saw a stranger in the house, reported it to the police.

The crew of the response sector of the patrol police and the investigative-operational group of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 2 immediately went to the scene of the incident. The law enforcement officers together with the owners detained the intruder.

The detainee was identified as a 30-year-old resident of Zakarpattia region. Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Pustomytov district prosecutor’s office, informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in part 2 of article 15 of part 4 of article 185 (Attempt to commit theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, the suspect is in custody according to the court’s decision.
